Volunteers are essential for nonprofits. In a sector where we usually have more work to do than we have staff to do it, volunteers boost our power, lighten the load, and exponentially increase our impact.

INTERNSHIPS

BLACK offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain professional experience in a nonprofit organization.

BLACK believes in challenging interns with relevant, interesting projects, providing leadership opportunities and making them full members of the Core Team. Interns leave BLACK with a practical appreciation for the demands and rewards of nonprofit work.

BLACK offers four intern sessions per year, Winter, Fall, Spring, and Summer. An internship commitment of 20 hours per week for 6–12 months is preferable; the minimum commitment required is 14 hours a week for 3 months.
